RYAN ONEIL - PROFILE

Ryan Oneil Shaw (Stage name – RYAN ONEIL) is Reggae Singer and Song Writer.
Since his 1990 debut in the music industry with his song Dreaming on the Oasis Label.
Ryan Oneil has captured the hearts of music lovers with his smooth velvet voice and catchy lyrics.
Ryan Oneil Shaw was raised in the urban community of Kencott, Jamaica; later moved to Glendale and attended Melrose All-age school.
After leaving school he began working on various construction sites as a carpenter.
Ryan's musical ambition was driven by a strong desire to emulate his reggae/dancehall idol Sanchez, who is considered by many as one of Jamaica's best vocalist.

Like many singers and dance hall artistes during the 80's and 90's who began their music career singing on sound systems; Ryan Oneil, known then as Thriller T began honing his craft by singing live on the ''Black Magic” system.
Impressed by his unique style, the owner of Black magic took Ryan to Arrow's recording studio where he had him cut several dub's. His zeal to become a recording artiste was realized when Derrick Parker arranged for him to meet with then top female record producer Olive Shaw (no relation). Slow down which she released on her Capricorn Record label was well received by his growing fan base and thus heightened Olive Shaw’s interest to produce Ryan's first album. Ryan began laying vocal tracks for the album when Olive Shaw died in a tragic car accident.

In his search for a new producer, Ryan Oneil successfully auditioned at Anchor and Music Works Recording Studio and was signed by legendary record producer Gussie Clarke with his song "Right Move".
Ryan Oneil’s success to date has led to recent recordings of "Ah nuh me” produced by Doni Marshall; “I’m Just Sayin" by Footsteps Records and video produced by Outa Road. Live appearances on STING 2011 and Spring Break 2012 add to his accomplishments.
Ryan currently resides in Middletown Rhode Island and is father to Brittany and Ryan Jr.

Eric Smith & Mighty Roots worked with musicians from Studio One. A Must have for any Reggae fans Worldwide.

Eric Smith was born in the parish of St.Andrew, Jamaica. Eric grew up with his mother, Lisa cox, in a working class community known as Pepine, near the island’s capital, Kingston. He credits his mother as well as his cousin and her husband, May and William Badroo, for many of his early moral teachings.
As a youth, Eric witnessed the social and economical inequalities associated with ghetto life in Kingston.
These are the experiences that fuel the powerful and civil minded commentaries which permeate Eric’s music. He looks to the teachings of Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi and Nelson and Winnie Mandela for political inspiration.
Eric has chosen music as his medium to voice ghetto people’s life-long struggle for equal rights and justice. He sends a message of change to expose the decaying morality that is infecting and corrupting both the youth and contemporary society on a whole.
Eric gets his spiritual strength from the Almighty, Jah Rastafari, in whom he rests his unbending faith and conviction.
He formed his Band 'Eric Smith & Mighty Roots' in 2006.

Eksotisme Pantai Dreamland di Jimbaran, Bali

Orang tahu Bali memiliki Pantai Kuta atau Sanur, namun tidak banyak yang tahu tentang Pantai Dreamland. Walaupun belum bisa menyamai popularitas Pantai Kuta, namun Pantai Dreamland semakin dikenal oleh wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Letaknya yang dekat dengan objek wisata Garuda Wisnu Kencana membuat pantai ini semakin mendapatkan perhatian dari masyarakat. Pantai Dreamland memiliki karakteristik yang sama dengan pantai lain di Selatan Bali, yaitu dengan pasir putihnya yang indah. Ombaknya juga tidak kalah dengan di Kuta sehingga banyak wisatawan datang kemari untuk melakukan surfing. Keindahan lain bisa anda rasakan saat menelusuri perjalanan menuju pantai ini. Karena berada satu jalur dengan GWK yang berada di Jimbaran Bali, anda bisa melihat pemandangan Denpasar dari ketinggian. Selain itu Pantai Dreamland juga sangat dekat dengan objek wisata lain seperti Pura Luhur Uluwatu yang sudah sudah ada sejak abad 11 Masehi.

Objek wisata Pantai Dreamland memiliki keunikan tersendiri dibandingkan dengan pantai lain di wilayah Bali Selatan. Pantai ini terletak di dalam sebuah kompleks perhotelan, persis seperti di Nusa Dua. Jadi untuk sampai ke bibir pantai, anda harus masuk dulu ke sebuah pintu gerbang yang sangat besar kemudian menyusuri jalan yang di kanan kirinya terdapat bukit kapur yang tinggi. Kawasan ini ditata dengan sangat apik oleh pengelola, bahkan tidak ubahnya sebuah kota kecil. Di dalam kompleks ini terdapat banyak jalan besar dan penginapan mewah. Namun untuk berkunjung anda tidak diwajibkan untuk menginap di salah satu hotel tersebut, melainkan cukup dengan membayar tiket masuk saja.

Dreamland dulunya merupakan sebuah wilayah yang tandus. Bukan rahasia lagi karena memang di sekitar Jimbaran wilayahnya kering dengan dataran yang sebagian besar terdiri atas batuan kapur. Namun pemandangan di tempat ini mulai berubah setelah pada tahun 1990an, sebuah mega proyek direalisasikan. PT Bali Pecatu Graha adalah yang bertanggung jawab atas pembangunan proyek tersebut. Mereka membeli kurang lebih 900 hektar tanah untuk dibuatkan sebuah kompleks resor mewah yang disebut dengan "Resor Pecatu Indah". Pembangunannya sempat mengalami kendala saat masa kiris moneter pada 1998. Namun akhirnya pembangunan kompleks resor tersebut dilanjutkan kembali dengan bantuan warga setempat. Saat ini Kawasan Pantai Dreamland benar-benar terlihat seperti wisata impian karena tata ruangnya yang luar biasa.

Selain terletak di dalam sebuah kompleks resor mewah, Pantai Dreamland juga memiliki keunikan lain yaitu berada tepat di sisi bukit. Lazimnya sebuah pantai memiliki kawasan pesisir yang landai, namun tidak di Dreamland. Ada memang bagian yang landai, namun lebih banyak tebingnya. Oleh sebab itu banyak wisatawan yang penasaran naik ke atas bukit kapur sambil menikmati pemandangan Pantai Dreamland yang indah. Soal fasilitas jangan ditanya lagi. Tidak hanya resornya saja yang dikelola dengan baik, namun wilayah pantainya juga sama. Anda bisa menemukan beberapa penginapan mewah di dekat pantai. Selain itu anda juga bisa menemukan tempat makan, toko souvenir, toilet, dan berbagai fasilitas lainnya.

Karena keindahan alamnya, pantai ini kerap dipakai sebagai objek foto prewedding. Namun sebenarnya ada banyak kegiatan lain yang bisa anda lakukan disini, seperti bermain air, voli pantai, membuat istana pasir, dll. Jika ingin berenang sebaiknya anda berhati-hati karena terkadang ombak bisa menjadi sangat besar dan mampu menyapu apa saja yang dilewatinya. Dari sini anda juga bisa melihat sunset dengan jelas, tidak kalah dengan Kuta. Bedanya adalah disini anda bisa melihat sunset dari puncak bukit. Akses ke Pantai Dreamland cukup mudah. Dari Kuta anda bisa melakukan perjalanan dengan mobil atau motor dengan waktu tempat hanya 20-30 menit saja. Sedangkan dari pusat kota Denpasar atau Bandara Ngurah Rai memakan waktu sekitar 45 menit.

Sola Kamba - Biography:
Born from the meeting of musicians based in Valais, Switzerland. Sola Kamba plays a conscious, powerful and melodic reggae. Founded in 2009 the band meets artists from several horizons around a common project : sharing of music.
In Summer 2011, Sola Kamba meets Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, the most prolific Jamaican drummer from the golden age of reggae music, this quickly leads the group to create its first album.

The Sola Kamba vibes, advice from the Jamaican and the involvement of all, lead to the recording of 9 original tracks, at the Grooveharmony Studio. The 1st January 2012, enjoying a unique opportunity, Sola Kamba invites Cedric Myton (The Congos) to sing on 3 riddims. This adventure strengthens the band determination and allows them to complete the recording with 6 new compositions.

In February, a delegation flies to Kingston, Jamaica to finalise the project in the homeland of reggae. The album is mixed at the Small World Studio by Gaylard Bravo and mastered at Anchor Studio by Spiderman.
Local Jamaican artists appreciate Sola Kamba's music, like the well-known DJ Big Youth who records an original version upon one of Sola Kamba's riddim.

Fortified by these experiences and more than ever determined to share its music, Sola Kamba releases its album "Wallissically" in September 2012.
This release is accompanied by a tour in Switzerland (Bazik Festival, Rencart, Kingdom Club, Bar King,…).
 On stage the band rises to its own dimension, each musician together in harmony for an explosive result.
